On Sunday 23rd August the Rossmore Challenge Cup Team were victorious in the Ulster Cup Final in Massereene, in a challenging match against Malone, in what was described as a nail-biting finish. This is a first for Rossmore Golf Club in 69 years. The team captain Mary Nelson and her team were presented with gold medals and the “Ulster Trophy”. They returned to a rapturous reception in Rossmore, where their celebrations continued to the wee hours of the morning. They now look forward to the all-Ireland semi-final in Knightsbrook Golf Club on 25th September. On behalf of Rossmore Golf Club we take this opportunity of wishing them well in their final matches.
