Last weekend saw Patrick Smyth make a welcome return to form when he shot a very fine 65 to win the John McNally Cup Golfer of the Year competition. Patrick has a good all round game built from hours of practice where he works on his game and at the weekend it all came together and he left the rest of the field trailing behind. In second place was the consistent and likely Golfer of the Year Jack Lee on 68, third also on 68 was Frank Maguire while the gross went to Ciaran Lavery.
