Paddy Smyth has hit a rich vein of form over the past few weeks and he continued that good run when he claimed victory in the John Holland Golfer of the Year competition last weekend. Paddy cruised around the course in an excellent 5 over gross for a nett 67 to add the John Holland cup to his recent success in the Medal Matchplay final. In second place was Liam Treanor with a fine 68 while in third was Conn McCrossan on 69. The best gross went to John McQuaid with a 74.
