Class is Permanent as Foley Rolls Back the Years with a Brilliant 44pts
The Credit Union Shield found a fitting home for the next year as one of Rossmore’s true gentlemen Tadhg Foley shot a stunning 44 stableford points to claim victory last weekend. Tadhg had seen his handicap drift out to a high of 14 this year but as he signed his card last weekend he had now reduced that to a more fitting 12 handicap. This was the best score of the year and the runner up Desmond Kinsella with 43pts would have won every other week while in third place was Patrick Smyth on 39pts. The old saying of form is temporary but class is permanent certainly applies to Tadhg Foley and his victory was once again another victory for one of the senior members of Rossmore. The presentation of the prizes for this competition is on Sunday 2nd October at 7.30pm
