Hard luck to the Challenge Cup team who as Ulster champions were defeated in the all-Ireland semi-final on Friday last in Knightsbrook, Trim, Co Meath. The team lost out to the Mid Leinster district champions Mount Juliet, who went forward to the final and were defeated by the Munster district champions East Cork. The Rossmore team Captain Mary Nelson with her team, Eilish Mc Quaid, Mary Kelly, Kathleen Dawson, Colette Connolly and Mary Mc Cabe made history for the Rossmore Ladies Club after winning their way to the Ulster Cup Final after almost 70 years. We take this opportunity to congratulate the East Cork team on becoming the All-Ireland Champions.
