As part of the club’s celebrations to mark the 100th year in existence the Mens and Ladies Clubs combined to enter a float in the Monaghan town St Patrick’s Day Parade. The float portrayed the activities of the club and advertised the special rates available to new members this year. To reflect the theme of the parade around 1916 the Captain, Lady Captain and Mr President turned out in dress attire in keeping with that time. The response from the public on the day was very positive and certainly should help attract many new members to Rossmore. The Captain and Lady Captain would like to thank all the members who assisted in preparing the float and who took part in the parade. This was another good news story for the club at a time when the centenary celebrations are now underway.
