The Scratch Cup final has now reached the final stages and it is only fitting that Rossmores two lowest handicap players will face each other but what a contrast in both players profile. The final will see the very experienced and for many years Rossmore’s finest golfer Ronnie Berry take on the young pretender in Ciaran Lavery who has high hopes of taking over from Ronnie over the coming years. One feels that Ronnie is not yet ready to concede any ground to these young guns and he may just prevail in what should be a close contest.
