This year the Club Classic competition played on Bank Holiday Monday 3rd June proved a huge success with close to 50 teams taking to the fairways in search of the perfect round to claim one of the fantastic prizes on offer. Once again the club is indebted to the sponsor Hugh McElvaney and McElvaney Waste and Recycling for their generous sponsorship of the classic and for the excellent prizes. The warm weather was matched with hot scoring as a series of unbelievable scores was posted throughout the day.
The winners with 109 pts were B Connolly, J Boyle, C Reilly and Fr M McQuaid, second on 107 pts was K Lavelle, C Callan, D Murphy and J McKenna, third on 106 pts was J Fanning, M Nugent, T Connolly and J Creighan and fourth on 105 was J McConnon, P Mallon, P Bennett and K McCaffrey.
Longest Drive winner was P Boyle and Nearest the Pin went to T Ryan
Captain Seamus Meehan presided over the prizegiving when Hugh McElvaney presented the winners with their prizes. The club would like to thank all who supported the event.
