Last weekend Sat 4th and Sunday 5th May a large turnout of members took part in the Pro’s Competition and when all the scores were checked and counted the very promising golfer Damien Martin was declared the winner on 41pts. This victory was not unexpected as Martin has been knocking on the door for some time and if this good form continues he could have a big say in the Golfer of the Year competition.

Second on 39pts was the consistent Seamus Sammon, third also on 39pts was David McKenna, fourth on 38pts was Dessie McBennett with James Murphy 5th on 38pts.

The Gross prize was won by a newcomer to this section in Ryan Doherty on 33pts. This is a young golfer to note and he will add to the now keen competition for the weekly gross prize. Second gross went to Ciaran Lavery 32pts.
