Played on Saturday 16th August, this competition is always very well supported and certainly one of the highlights of the year for the Rossmore ladies. Magill Jeweller’s have sponsored this competition for a good number of years and is as popular today as it was the first day. Congratulation to this year’s winner Dympna Kerr who came in with a fabulous score of 43 points. Very well done to Dympna, who took in all in her stride in her usual quiet and calm way. With quite a number of wins to her name, this is her first cup win to date and no doubt many more to come. In Dympna’s presentation speech she referred to this year’s Club Mixed competition where she was drawn with Michael Nugent. She thanked Michael for his guidance and fine tuning of her game which improved her technique and more importantly her confidence. So well done Michael.
Winner of 2nd place was Colette Morgan with a very respectable 40 points and the gross was won by Kate Dwyer with 30 points.
Category 1 winner was Anne Kinsella with 38 points.
Category 2 winner was Pauline Leonard with 36 points.
Category 3 winner was Kathleen Hand with 33 points.
Front 9 was won by Mary Quinn with 22 points.
Back 9 was won by Mary Collins with 20 points.
Committee prize went to Eilish Mc Quaid with 32 points.
Novice prize was won by Dympna Fitzpatrick.
Men’s 1st prize went to Sean Kilroy with 40 points.
2nd Prize went to Liam Treanor with 38 points, 3rd prize went to Sean Moyna who also had 38 points.
