Last weekend saw Dermot Smyth make a welcome return to the winners enclosure when he shot a fantastic 45pts to win the Credit Union Shield singles competition. Dermot had that round one dreams about and he blew the rest of the field away and this is a round he will long remember. In second place was with his best score for a while was the popular Pierce Purcell captain Eugene McGinnity with a fine 41pts third on 40pts Sean McGovern while the gross went to Ronnie Berry again with a round of 39pts.
