On Sunday last members competed in the Captain’s Charity Singles where all the proceeds went to the Irish Heart Foundation . This club singles stableford competition once again produced a series of brilliant scores with Eddie Whelan shooting 46pts to win by 4 pts from Des Kinsella in second with 42pts. Eddie’s score came just a day too late to scoop a major but it was a fantastic effort from a very capable player. The gross went to Ciaran Lavery with 32pts. And third was Shane Douglas with 41pts.
The captain was delighted with the support shown for this worthy cause and he would like to thank all those who supported the event.
