Sylvester Quinn is Rossmore Golfer of the Year for 2016
The winner of the Golfer of the Year at Rossmore for 2016 is the consistent and competitive Sylvester Quinn who was a clear winner following a number of impressive performances throughout the year. Sylvester started the year playing off a handicap of 5 and he reduced this to a remarkable 3 by the seasons end. He scored points in almost every competition and is the deserving winner for this year. He is a good supporter of all the competitions. He also sends the ball over huge distances off the tee and possesses a very tidy short game his overall game declares he was the best over the full year. Well done Sylvester
Eoin McGinnity Stars in Handball Championships
One of Rossmores up and coming young golfers Eoin McGinnity is proving that he is equally at home in the handball arena and he recently qualified for the U-14 30 x 60 All Ireland Final which is a major achievement for any young sportsman. Eoin is a very talented all round sportsman and this year he has reduced his handicap to a very fine 6 with a string of impressive round of low scores. He is wished the best of luck in the All Ireland Final. Eoin is son of popular members Eugene and Suzanne McGinnity.
